Ducoya® G202 C is a high-purity-filled polyimide for semiconductor applications requiring electrically conductive material. This material is intended for use in the latest semiconductor manufacturing operations, especially where process conditions could generate static electricity. Connecting such components to earth can prevent the accumulation of such electrical charges.
Ducoya G202 C combines high dimensional stability, wear resistance, minimal particle generation and ease of machining that Ducoya is generally known for, along with its other attributes such as broad chemical resistance and impressive continuous operating temperature range of up to 400°C in vacuum or favourable chemical environment. In this case, Ducoya G202 C has been formulated to be modestly conductive rather than a powerful insulator. To deliver this conductivity, Ducoya G202 C has a surface resistance in the range of 101 Ω/Sq.
Unintended and uncontrolled electrostatic discharge is a significant hazard in fast process operations. Depending on the nature of the item receiving the electrostatic charge, voltages can exceed 25kV, a level many times greater than necessary to be dangerous to semiconductor circuitry. Ducoya G202 C helps prevent such charges from accumulating by providing a conductive connection to earth.
If a pure insulator is desirable, please consider Ducoya G001 and G001 UP (Ultra Pure).
If an electrostatic dissipative grade is required to discharge static electricity gently, please consider Ducoya G201 ESD (electrostatic dissipative).
Based on data from a limited run of production batches, a number of important properties are significantly improved when compared to the market-leading brand. Such properties include wear resistance, compressive strength, elastic recovery, elongation at break and tensile strength, underpinned by significantly higher purity.
